The A1 certificate is a document from the tax office in the country where the employer is registered that proves where social security contributions are paid. The statement can be uploaded by the organisation and/or employee. The approval process is the responsibility of the main contractor.

All persons with a nationality outside the EEA (+ Croatia) are required to have a valid work permit or single permit for residence and work. The permit needs to be uploaded and approved, so as to avoid administrative penalties under the Aliens Employment Act (Wet Arbeid Vreemdelingen).
